Delhi Metro Rail app provides the customers of metro services with lot of useful information that helps in using the Metro Services. Following are the different sections in the app and the information available in them.
Plan Your Journey- Selecting the starting and destination stations will display the route map based on Shortest Route or Min. Interchange. Simply SWIPE UP on the route map screen to see the Fare, Platform, Approximate Travel time, Stations in between along with change over station.
Station Info – Selecting a station will give you various useful information about the station like First and Last train timings, Platforms, Gates and directions, contact numbers, Tourist spots near that station, parking, feeder services etc.
Nearest metro station – This section will show you the nearest metro stations from your current GPS location. Please note the distance is the straight line distance between Lat/Lon.
Other sections i.e. Tour guide, Metro Museum, Lost and found and Other info will give various other useful information to the user.

The crappiest of apps I have used ever, like the metro service! The devs are adding features, lots and lots. But I guess they're not taking time to test for the bugs or check if the new features are causing the core functions to malfunction. 1. It doesn't load, however fast the network. 2. When clicked on plan my journey it shows many details like carbon footprint etc but it's not showing the basic requirements ie the "plan to get me from A to B". Idk if the app is useful any longer.

The last update has been terrible. Couldn't book a ticket 1.5hrs after one completed journey because "previous ticket is still active". Also location access is required for some reason. Not optional. Have to turn it on every time I have to scan at entry and exit. Edit: They have replied that they fixed the bug. But they haven't.

This new update is not user friendly. The other day I had to check my metro route and this app asks me to register my Phone number for which the OTP was never recieved! I was stuck. The old app didn't need any phone number verification, it was plain and simple. Why complicate things! Pathetic! Edit - Now the app forces to update Sometimes there's no network at metro station to update the app. It is basically useless at that point. Seriously who the fk is developing this garbage?
